概要 | Given a probability measure on a finitely generated group
, what can one say about the behavior of the associated random walk?
At first, it is natural to focus on symmetric measures with finite
generating support and on the probability or return to the starting
point. After reviewing briefly what is known about this problem, I will
describe recent results regarding the behavior of random walks driven by
measures that have various type of heavy tails on different types of groups. |
