| Abstract | Generally, surjective holomorphic maps to a projective manifold are rare. We discuss just how rare they are by introducing the notion of target rigidity. It is expected that most projective manifolds are target rigid, in the sense that any family of surjective holomorphic maps to them essentially come from their automorphisms. We will give a survey of recent developments on target rigidity. |
