Abstract | Yomdin-Gromov algebraic Lemma bounds from above the differential complexity of a semi-algebraic set by its algebraic one. More precisely any semi-algebraic set is reparametrized by maps defined on with derivatives less than one whose number depends only on r,d, the diameter and the degree of A. We will explain the main ideas of the proof. Then we will give two applications in smooth analysis and dynamical systems : the quantitative Morse-Sard theorem and the h-expansivity of smooth dynamical sytems. |
