| Abstract | We say that a variety defined over a field K has a solvable point if it
has a L-rational point where L is a solvable extension of K. First I will
give an overview on what is known about the problem of finding solvable
points on geometrically irreducible varieties over various base fields.
Then I will concentrate on the special case of genus one curves. |
